Leaving Zielona Gora behind, I embark on the next leg of my journey towards Lubin, a town with a rich mining heritage nestled in the heart of the Lower Silesian region. Today's ride takes me through picturesque landscapes, where rolling hills give way to lush forests and meandering rivers.
One of the highlights along the route is the picturesque town of Glogow, situated on the banks of the Oder River. Its well-preserved medieval architecture, including the imposing Glogow Castle, transports me back in time to the days of knights and nobles. I take some time to explore the cobblestone streets and hidden alleyways, soaking in the atmosphere of this historic town.
As I continue onwards to Lubin, I'm struck by the contrast between the tranquil countryside and the industrial landscape that surrounds the town. Lubin's mining history is evident in its architecture and landmarks, such as the iconic Mining and Metallurgy Museum, which offers insight into the town's rich heritage.
