Leaving Frankfurt/Oder behind, I pedal eastward towards Zielona Gora, a verdant oasis known for its lush parks and vibrant cultural scene. The route takes me through the picturesque countryside of Brandenburg, where rolling hills and charming villages dot the landscape.
One highlight of today's journey is the Słubice Pedestrian Bridge, which spans the Oder River and connects Germany with Poland. Crossing this bridge is a symbolic moment, representing the seamless flow of people and ideas between the two countries. As I pedal across, I can't help but marvel at the beauty of the river below and the sense of unity it fosters.
Arriving in Zielona Gora, I'm immediately struck by the city's leafy boulevards and welcoming atmosphere. Known as the "Green Mountain," Zielona Gora boasts an abundance of parks and gardens, including the scenic Park Piastowski. Here, amidst the tranquil surroundings, I take a moment to relax and recharge before continuing my exploration of this charming city.
